Ibrahim Zadran remained unbeaten on 129 but did not get much support from the other batsmen as Afghanistan were eventually able to post 291 for 5. However, they were unable to defend the target as Australia chased it down in 46.5 overs. Naveen ul Haq, Azmatullah Omarzai and Rashid Khan picked up two wickets each.
